Greetings from the 2025 Disability Policy Seminar. We kick off today alongside over 900 disability advocates in Washington, DC. The energy at the conference is electric. People are motivated to learn, network, and meet with their members of Congress.

This is the exact right week to be on Capitol Hill—over the weekend, the Senate voted on a budget resolution that sets the stage for huge budget cuts. This week, the House is expected to take a vote to align their budget cut goals with the Senate. Next, Congress will continue negotiating the details of these cuts. There is no way to achieve the level of cuts they have voted for without directly impacting Medicaid health care and critical services for people with disabilities, seniors, and low-income families.
