Special Needs Planning
At Delaney Law, P.C., we assist families in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire to navigate the numerous complex public benefit rules for disabled adults.
We also assist:
Families
Families of disabled individuals who are planning for the future by preparing third-party special needs trust which will be funded after the parents’ deaths. This allows the disabled individual to maintain public benefits, and for another trusted family member, a non-family or corporate trustee to manage the funds for the disabled individual for their lifetimes.

Individuals
Individuals who have received funds from an inheritance, court settlement, or other means that will potentially disqualify them from crucial public benefits. Our office can help them apply for a pooled trust, establish a first-party supplemental needs trust, or employ other asset protection strategies depending upon the benefit programs they currently qualify for.
For individuals who may need to access the Courts to obtain approval for such plans, please refer to our Guardianship and Conservatorship page for more information.
